立春Born in January or February 1948?
In the popular calendar, the 1948 zodiac year began with Chinese New Year on February 10, 1948. Anyone born from January 1 to February 9, 1948 belongs to the previous year, the Fire Pig. BaZi (Four Pillars) astrology changes the year at Lichun, the start of spring, which fell on February 5, 1948 at about 05:42 Beijing time. That was before New Year, so if you were born after Lichun on February 5 and before February 10, 1948, BaZi already counts you as an Earth Rat while the popular calendar still says Fire Pig.
